The names I have just added to the article came from the Times Digital Archive but, as a new user, I am not sure how to add a reference. Tonyddyer (talk) 15:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Were they from Times reprints of the London Gazette? If so it might be better to use the London Gazette's own website, http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk as this has the advantage of being free access. To add references, look at the the two most recent names, you won't need the stuff in curly brackets { just add "ref" tags as is done there, and [ut the details between teh tags. I'm not sure there's any way to link directly to items in the Times archive, so just put down the date, issue number page and column number as given in the archive. If you don't get that, put the details down here, and I'll do an example for you. David Underdown (talk) 16:00, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
{http://www.davenapier.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mayors/mayorndx.htm} will point you at lists of earlier office holders. Not an RS in itself, but will point you at the original sources. Jezhotwells (talk) 18:50, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
