Talk:Hervey Range

Herveys Range has been rated many times as the best suburb in Queensland however this cannot be formally recognized as technically, Herveys Range is a rural area. Currently, the much sought after position of best suburb in Queensland is Wulguru (Da Wu), even though Wulguru has tragic and dreadful incidents occurring within the last decade that makes some experts believe it should be removed of its title. If Dale Last is elected as Mayor of Townsville, he vows to classify Herveys Range as a recognized suburb, so the title of best suburb in Queensland is given to its rightful owner.

I have moved the above text to this 'talk' page. It is the place where unreferenced and contentious material can be discussed. Wikipedia (WP) is also not the place for speculations about what may happen in the future. See WP:RECENT. WP is intended as a collection of verified fact only. Opinions are welcome on this page, but not in the article. --Greenmaven (talk) 10:14, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Drop the "s" in the name?[edit]

Queensland Place Names lists it as "Hervey Range" same as the suburb/locality name. So should this page be renamed? Kerry (talk) 03:30, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot about this, but just renamed it as clearly nobody objecting. Kerry (talk) 08:58, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Argh, this is the New South Wales range (which has the "s"). But the project tag says its the Qld one?! I am confused here. So I have renamed it to include the state name to resolve the problem. And I will fix the project tag. Kerry (talk) 09:07, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinate error should be circa 19 degrees S[edit]

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for Coordinate error should be circa 19 degrees S

 Done. I'm not sure of the exact extent of the range, but I tried to select coordinates near the middle, not too far from the Mount Cataract and not too far from Thorntons Gap, both of which are mentioned in the article. Deor (talk) 17:34, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
