Notability[edit]

@Epicgenius:, can you please provide the sources which you know to exist which indicate notability for this topic? I know you mentioned newspapers.com but I'm only seeing local coverage and passing mentions there. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:16, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You may need to use the search terms "Hershey Park Stadium" or "Hershey Stadium". This PennLive article published on the stadium's 75th anniversary says that Milton Hershey had hoped to secure an NFL team for the town in the 1930s, which is why he decided to build the stadium, with a seating capacity well over 15,000. - there may be sources related to that. Historically, the stadium was described in detail here in a Pennsylvania newspaper and here in Billboard magazine. The stadium was also encircled by a speedway, which on occasion was in the news for fatal accidents. I have not even begun looking into the events (there are many of them and, like you said, there are a lot of passing mentions) - but the fact that it has had events such as the 2000 CONCACAF Men's Pre-Olympic Tournament (source) indicates that it's not merely some small-town stadium with only local events. – Epicgenius (talk) 19:53, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
