WHO EVER WROTE THIS NOTE IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT NAMIBIA and/or THEY REPRESENT THE OLD APARTHEID REGIME. Yes true there were alot of issues surrounding its erection but after 21 years of independance this this has become a symbol of our freedom and national pride. Also the many heroes ranging from HENDRIK WITBOOI, HOSEA KUTAKO, KING MANDUME etc. etc. gives the place a significance and honour which makes every Namibian bow there heads in reverance and respect as their inner being wells up with pride.

Please refrain from personal attacks. The construction issues are well referenced. If you feel that the importance of this memorial has been understated feel free to add more content. --Pgallert (talk) 10:42, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where?[edit]

If it is in another town or defined area that should be included rather than just stating its distance from Windhoek. --Daniel C. Boyer (talk) 19:16, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Daniel C. Boyer, and thanks for the heads-up. Heroes' Acre almost touches the southernmost suburbs due to Windhoek's growth. Does this clarification alleviate your concerns? --Pgallert (talk) 18:50, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
