I believe that this subject is worthy of treatment by Wikipedia.

Princeton University has preserved the papers of Mr. Gibbons in its library. In addition, Mr. Gibbons has been of interest to academics.

Mr. Gibbons' many books addressed the cause of two world wars, i.e. colonialism. American readers do not fully understand the causes of these wars, because colonialism has not been adequately addressed in American history books.

Why were the Germans and Japanese aggressive in the 1930s? Because England and France had already conquered much of the world. This information is vitally important to understanding the history of the 20th century, as well as modern day events in former colonies, such as Iraq.
