Notable works[edit]

Are you sure that the following sentence is true:

Michaux is most known for his stories about Plume - "a peaceful man" - perhaps the most unenterprising hero in the history of literature, and his many misfortunes.

I have never found this character in the stories I've read by Michaux... but maybe I didn't read the ones in which this character is featured (?).—Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.231.136.124 (talkcontribs)

Yes, this is a true statement (although whoever wrote it may be just a bit POV in their superlative-laced assessment). But I believe I read somewhere that Michaux did think that the Plume stories were his best work (although I'd have to double-check that). See here for the book Plume précédé de Lointain intérieur in French, and here for a book with some excellent translations of the Plume stories, by David Ball. —Saposcat 05:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth[edit]

Infobox states 24 June 1899, text states 24 May 1899. Which is correct? DB 103245talk 11:33, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox was added recently[1], using the shortdate form, so was probably in error. I checked a handful of interwiki links, and all other languages confirm May. Fixed. -- Quiddity (talk) 18:37, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
