Distinct article[edit]

This article is distinct from the article CD4+/CD8+ ratio because even though both refer to the CD4:CD8 ratio, the CD4+/CD8+ ratio describes cytotoxic T cells rather than CD8 suppressor cells. Suppressor CD8+ T-cells are distinct from cytotoxic T cells "A tale of two T cells: suppressor CD8 T cells recalled to life". The most common reference to the CD4:CD8 ratio is where CD8 cells are cytotoxic (see the references to the CD4+/CD8+ ratio page). A merger would be inappropriate, and I even think that the Helper/suppressor ratio article should be removed. --Ben Best:Talk 16:09, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
