Helen of AnjouHelena of Anjou — Jelena is angilized as Helena not Helen. Helen is never used it's either Helena or Helene.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 07:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Prefer Helene Helene of Anjou looks good to me. 76.66.203.138 (talk) 08:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • This article does not cite any reliable sources, so it's difficult to judge what they're saying. For what it's worth, she's listed in the index to Fine's Late medieval Balkans as "Helen [Jelena] (wife of King Uroš)". Similarly in a more popular history book like The Serbs by Sima M. Cirkovic (the English version), we get "Helen, Queen, wife of Uroš I". Cavila (talk) 09:28, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • But she is knows as Jelena Anžujska in Serbian. I am not sure that this versions, like Helene is ok... And as far as i know, Helen is Jelena English version. Per that, i oppose this move. --WhiteWriter speaks 14:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Very strongly oppose. A google books search strongly indicates that Cavila's reliable sources are typical. There are only six sources which use Helene (and one of them is Rebecca West, who invented her own spelling conventions - a laudable, but failed, effort), three which use Jelena, and 96 which use Helen. Our norm is to follow English usage; as often, it anglicizes, and anglicizes to the English (not French) form of the name. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 19:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think this should be in English Jeffsink (talk) 22:52, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
