Time between lunations[edit]

Shouldn't mention be made that by Jewish tradition, the time between lunations to the nearest helek was given to Moses at Sinai? Because it implies a tradition older than the Babylonian exile for a unit of measure that boils down to a helek. --micha 15:33, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

I noticed this has not sources and tried adding some. Along the way, I noticed that some sources write "helek", some write "chelek", and some (rarely) write "khelek". I don't have a strong preference (I'd go for "khelek" just because that's the Academy standard, but I won't fight for it). I won't bother to move the article myself, but if you're encountering this and think it should be moved, it's probably OK. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 07:45, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
