Hoax alert[edit]

This page has been extensively contributed to by User:Haruson, who has been adding loads of strange nonsense to Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clan Haruson). It might be worthwile to check if this hill exists at all. Sandstein 10:45, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does seem to exists, per google. This article was started by 58.164.25.116 (talk | contribs) who seems to be User:Haruson's sock puppet, see his edit history. So it seems to be an article about a real fell that happens to have a name that was suitable for the Prince Haruson hoax. Weregerbil 20:13, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stickle?[edit]

A stickle is a hill with a prominent rocky sort of top. There are, as you note, several in the Lake District. Don't know if they occur elsewhere in Britain or Ireland, but can't think of any off the top of my head. Pike of Stickle is your classic example, 'pike' being a pointy-topped hill and the whole thing therefore bordering on tautology. Bobble Hat 19:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
