Harrison College in Indiana[edit]

This article started as an article about Harrison College in Barbados. Recently, a user completely wiped out that work and changed the article to become one about the former Indiana Business College which changed its name to Harrison College in 2009. Without checking this article's history, I did some further editing on the article about Harrison College in Indiana and changed a number of links in various articles. Someone (correctly) changed the article back to focus on Harrison College in Barbados and corrected the links I had changed. They also graciously created a new article called Harrison College (Indiana) which was the appropriate thing to do. This article should remain focused on the school in Barbados and all work on the subject of Harrison College in Indiana should be confined to that page. • Hi there. What I was attempting to do is separate both articles. So, I moved the one in Indiana to the Harrison College (Indiana) space. I reverted back on the current in order to do a proper move of Harrison College (Barbados)... However I'm not an admin, so I would need the current Harrison Colege (Barbados) to be speedy deleted in order to do a move into that newly empty article slot.

As I recall if there is something like over 1 edit in the log history(????) If that is the case then I don't think you're allowed to overwrite a redirect article. If shifted to Harrison College (Barbados) then the generic "Harrison College" can easily be made a disambig page because according to "Harrison College (Indiana)" that school already has an Ohio campus too? Thus, there might be the potential for a "Harrison College (Ohio)" too or maybe even more in future. To my mind, they look to me like they might be doing something like the University of Phoenix or ITT Tech which quickly come to mind as institutions which have campuses all over the USA? Because I know here in the Boston area we have two ITT Tech campuses here. One on the North Shore and one of the South Shore at either end of route 128 basically. I redirected most of the Barbados links to Harrison College (Barbados) already, but I just need to have that actual article (Harrison College (Barbados) speedied deleted so this can be dropped in there as a page move. Harrison College (Indiana) vs. Harrison College (Barbados)[edit]

I have updated the Harrison College page to link to both the Harrison College (Indiana) page and Harrison College (Barbados) page, which is the right thing to do, seeing as one term with multiple meanings constitutes a disambiguation page. Also, CaribDigita is correct that Harrison College (Indiana) now has online classes and an Ohio campus. Please advise on whether Harrison College (Ohio) and Harrison College (Online) pages should be created to represent those locations as well. Thank you for your assistance CaribDigita. That's not the correct way to do a move... Your not supposed to just copy and paste from one article to the next because all of the history becomes disconnected from the article. E.g. read the instructions on WP:Move CaribDigita (talk) 02:26, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have now fixed this cut and paste move so all the history is in the correct place. Please can editors contact an admin whenever they see editors do this as it can cause problems if unfixed. Camaron · Christopher · talk 10:12, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
