WSOP Champions Event[edit]

You might want to track down the ESPN coverage of the Champions Tournament from the WSOP this year, the commentators spoke about Harrington's books in depth going so far as to say that his books have become the Bible of Tournament Poker.---Balloonman NO! Did he use the word "Bible"? Because I found a segment where Norman Chad says that Harrington "wrote the book on no-limit hold 'em", but that was only during the introduction. Do you remember around when they made that comment? I already saw that particular tournament but of course I don't quite recall when they made that comment. Was it before/after they did a profile on Harrington? I can't even recall if they did do one. Gary King (talk) 01:04, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I can't swear that he used the word Bible... it might have been "the book." I thought it was during the section where they were doing their break-out piece on who Dan was.---Balloonman NO! I'm Spartacus! 14:34, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's not around that segment; I just checked. Weird. Gary King (talk) 16:43, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For all I know, it could have been one of the first two episodes (where they were doing flashes to the Champions Event.) I remember it because the use of Bible in reference to Harringon's books caught me a little off guard. I'm used to Super System being called the Bible of Poker, but it was the first time I'd heard the "The Bible of Tournament Poker." BUT as people now know, the memory is one of the worst sources... ask me and my sister where we were when Challenger exploded, we'll give you two completely different stories, although we agree we were with each other at the time.---Balloonman NO!
