Publishers and authors[edit]

I dont like the common practice of listing authors associated with publishers on WP. While there are certain authors associated primarily with one publisher, very few are exclusively tied to one publisher. i would prefer that individual works that have wikipedia articles, or works without articles whose authors have articles, be listed in place of an overly promotional list of authors. Ive done it with Villard (imprint). I used to work in the book business, but have no connection with them now.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:35, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very true, Mercurywoodrose. I've zapped the list. (I've also zapped some of the would-be peacockry -- which I'd just call guff -- within this depressing little article.)
