The pottery shop is not the only shop in town. There is also a glass blower. The center building is not used for storage and the restaurant didn't close because of it's out of the way location. The person who wrote this didn't get their facts straight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.130.69.32 (talkcontribs)

and it wasn't auctioned off on ebay either..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.130.69.32 (talkcontribs)

It's a wiki, you can fix it. -- Scott e 06:51, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And if it's uncited and you know it to be inaccurate, you can just delete it! XSG 09:16, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this place even worth having an encyclopedia entry? -Will Beback · · 10:13, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think so. Every official community is worth having a stub for people to say "Hey! I drove through that town once!" Harmony's claim-to-fame is that it's officially the lowest-populated town in California. It's neat to know that there are eighteen people who live there, and I'll be happy to learn from wikipedia if that number changes. XSG 18:06, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is it an official community? There are no sources. -Will Beback · · 19:42, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you're right. It's an unofficial unincorporated community. How about you just go ahead and delete all the unincorporated communities, then? I'm sure wikipedia will be a much better place for your efforts. XSG 04:26, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If it were a notable unofficial unincorporated community then it'd be different. This place is apparently insignificant that no one has written about it. How can we verify any of the info in it?
  • To one side is a long abandoned house, a large dumpster, and a former art gallery, with some portable toilets. In front of the house is the "treecar" - an old grey Nissan Z with a tree collapsed upon it.
Would the encyclopedia be better off without "information" like this? Quite possibly. -Will Beback · · 05:56, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In essence, you're right: Harmony is insignficant and there is very little written about it, though there is some written (and it's linked in the article). Original material doesn't belong in Wikipedia, however, so anything that is unsourced is strikeable by anyone. I prefer to strike unsourced material only when it's POV, contentious, or dubious. Despite all of this, having lived near Harmony, I know that the local papers noted the community as being the smallest populated community in the state. I can also confirm that the street sign on Highway 1 upon entering Harmony is an official California community sign which reads "Harmony", an elevation, and "Population 18". Because I've seen it for myself, I have to believe that there's got to be _some_ official record of its existence somewhere, and the only reason it's not in this article is because no one really cares enough to find it... To be honest, I don't. At the same time, if you delete this article, I'm sure it will rapidly be re-created in some form as part of the California WikiProject... Perhaps next time one of us passes through town we could stop and take a photo of the treecar. Cheers, -Will Beback · · 07:55, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be passing nearby on Saturday... if only I'd remembered to grab my camera before heading over the river and through the woods. Next time... The least I can do, though, is visually confirm there's a treecar in order to determine it's worth a photo... XSG 09:53, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How recently was it put up for sale? (A date would be helpful.) And by whom?--FarmDreamer 04:59, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
