2009 comment[edit]

This article seems like it was written by the Harkins Company. It needs to be rewritten to take out the parts which seem to promote Harkins and glorify the founder. The reason I say this sounds like it was written by the company is because I worked there and this is almost word for word what they told us at my orientation, though they may have used Wikipedia to get the information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.230.127.25 (talk) 09:00, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arcadia 8[edit]

So I read this passage in the article: "On February 9, 2014, a Harkins closed in Phoenix, at 40th St and Thomas Rd, it was the Harkins Arcadia 8 theatre and they closed because they knew they wouldn't succeed in the area, the vacant building is now a Planet Fitness." and I couldn't help but laugh. I was bummed that the Arcadia 8 closed too, but clearly there had to be a more sound reason behind its closing, at least one with a decent citation. So I found this relevant 2011 article for anyone that feels up to improving the page and relevant passages . . . [1] --72.208.125.248 (talk) 03:41, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival[edit]

Harkins locations where festival films are shown are Scottsdale Shea, a Harkins in the East Valley (Chandler and/or Tempe) and occasionally a location in the West Valley. 2600:1011:A112:6724:A593:7F5:3D6E:D66C (talk) 15:58, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Premium Formats (CINÉ XL)[edit]

I would argue there should be a small section dedicated to the Premium Formats Harkins has to offer. All the major movie theater chain pages such as AMC, Regal, and Cinemark has a section dedicated to the Premium Formats they offer. CINE XL is Harkins' premium large format and some of the CINE XL theaters were originally Cine Capri reconstructions. Cine Capri did play a huge role of Harkins' history and there should some mention of that and the premium formats. Dc55555 (talk) 22:19, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
