Drive by tagging[edit]

I notice this article has already been drive-by tagged as having unreferenced information. There is no need for references as, thus far, there is nothing in the article that can possibly be referenced. As per WP:References:

  • Cite sources when

I don't see that simply stating the existence of a village requires a reference. It is unlikely to be challenged as the existence of the village is verifiable, I am not quoting anyone, I am not drawing on any source and there is no image involved. WP is being ruined by mindless drive-by tagging. Alex McKee (talk) 10:24, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Harescombe Church.jpg to appear as POTD[edit]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Harescombe Church.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on July 11, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-07-11. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:35, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Harescombe Church
The Church of St. John the Baptist in Harescombe, a small village in Gloucestershire, England. The church, consecrated in 1315, is a Grade II* listed building. It has an unusual bellcote, a small octagonal stone spire, and is home to the oldest bell in the county.Photograph: Saffron Blaze

Date of construction of St. Church of John the Baptist[edit]

The article states that the Church of St. John the Baptist in Harescombe "was constructed in the early 13th century. It was consecrated in 1315." The 13th century consisted of the 100 year period from 1201 through 1300. Either they waited a hundred years before consecrating the church, or the church was constructed in the early 14th century (the 100 year period from 1301 through 1400). -- Bob (Bob99 (talk) 22:05, 11 July 2013 (UTC))[reply]
