Seems like a campaign ad[edit]

A similar page was created for her opponent in the 2008 Cal state Senate race, Tony Strickland , with all negative info about that person. Is this what Wikipedia is to become around election time? My revisions consisted of providing more details about Hannah-Beth Jackson's job history, and endorsements. I added more endorsements to the page, as well as added a more detailed look at her professional history.Stillinghast (talk) 17:18, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article intro needs rewrite[edit]

The intro to this article mentions Tony Strickland too soon, and a quick read suggests (incorrectly) that the article subject lost her election. Here is the google synopsis for this article:

"Hannah-Beth Jackson (born May 19, 1950) is an American politician currently serving in the California State Senate. A Democrat, she represents the 19th Senate District, encompassing Santa Barbara County and most of Ventura County.

Jackson ran for the 19th Senate District in 2008, but narrowly lost to Republican Tony Strickland."

I suggest a rewrite to deemphasize the '08 loss.
