Erroneus material[edit]

I have edited this article to remove statements which claimed : (1) ignorance as to why the Navy Board built ships of pine; their reasons for doing so were extremely well known, and had justification in the light of contemporary circumstances; (2) ignorance as to whether the frigate had 38 guns or 44 guns. Clearly the author was unaware as to the classification/rating system used. I have put in explanatory material. Rif Winfield (talk) 12:51, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
