de Winser[edit]

According to the cover of the book, as well as the book's flysheet, the author's name is "John de S. Winser", not "John de Winser". Worldcat also has his name as John de S. Winser [1], and the same form of name is used for his other books British Invasion Fleets and The D-Day Ships. The forward to British Invasion Fleets, by Christopher Page, Head of the Naval Historical Brach refers to Winser as "John Winser". Where does John de Winser come from?Nigel Ish (talk) 10:29, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because I wasn't looking at the book when I decided that every other example of a "de" was part of the last name, like Geoffrey de Havilland. Thanks for catching my mistake.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:08, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
