Removing proposed deletion tag[edit]

I created this article and put the "stub" notations on it to note it really needs to be expanded, to make a similar summary as HIV/AIDS in Asia, HIV/AIDS in Europe, and HIV/AIDS in Africa. There's a big difference: those two articles have considered and well-referenced text, while your two have only a set of empty headings and numbers lifted from another Wikipedia article, which is not good practice. As they stand, neither of these articles are an asset to Wikipedia. Please check and reference the figures you have quoted, or remove them. PamD (talk) 19:06, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree there is a big difference between those articles and these two. But I think these qualify as stubs. From Wikipedia:Stub: "A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which — though providing some useful information — is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, and which is capable of expansion." A summary of HIV/AIDS in North America and South America, similar to those other articles, is definitely useful, so I hope these stubs will be expanded into full articles. I hope you agree? Disputed[edit]

The data in this list is attributed to another WP list, which itself has dubious data and is not well referenced. I suggest that this article is not an asset to Wikipedia, and its content should be treated with extreme caution. PamD (talk) 18:19, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
