Notability[edit]

  1. The long span of publication and reprinting shows Mary Plain's popularity continued over a long period.
  2. The price reached by copies in good condition shows this author's books are highly collectable (although none is currently in print).
  3. It is expected that there are monographs or journal articles on this author. There are probably review of the books on publication.
  4. As the author's first publication was in 1930, they are probably well over 70 years old. There may be obituary material.
  5. My grand-daughter, aged 7, likes the stories.

Shocked[edit]

I am shocked that we know nothing of Gwynnedd Rae (although when I read the Mary Plain stories I never knew if it was a man or a woman - at least I now know that she's a woman!). There also does not appear to be a Mary Plain article. I had better get busy. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 05:13, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
