Split[edit]

Whats labelled east Gurage are not intelligible dialects they're completely different languages, this is misleading hence needs a split. It is a geographic label due to these ethnic labels falling under Gurage region for example Wolane and Siltʼe people or Zay are not Gurage people or speakers of Gurage language they're state was occupied in the 1800s and bundled together with the Gurage.
