The Airport at Guilin was not used by the military or the flying tigers. My father was in Kwelin during the war and told me about their building an airport outside of town that was use as a US military base. I visited Guilin in 2004 and was taken to this airfield/runway that is currently used as a parking lot. At the end of the runway is a monument to the US military and to General Stillwell. I have seen this with my own eyes and talked with a Chinese solider who was part of the Chinese security force at the airfield. I have all of this on video with pictures of the airbase. Thanks.
