The previous reviewer seems to have abandoned this, so I'll take it over. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:20, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I guess I will help with some edits. Oakley77 (talk) 17:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please note the concerns raised at WT:GAN#Oakley77 block. --Rschen7754 05:40, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues I found for the nominator to fix:

  • "Grenada sent teams to seven consecutive " I'm iffy on the wording there - sent athletes sounds better
  • "Although Neisha Bernard-Thomas and Allison George progressed to semifinal rounds" to the semifinal
    • It sounds strange to exchange it for that. I used your wording, but replaced "semifinal" with "semifinals". --Starstriker7(Talk) 16:28, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "events that stirred substantial controversy in the international community, Grenada continued to support the PRC wholeheartedly, having switched its support from Taiwan to mainland China in 2005." cite needed
    • The cite is at the end of the paragraph; I'm not sure citing that statement also is necessary, given it is just the next sentence over. --Starstriker7(Talk) 16:30, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "ranking eighth of eighth in her heat, 1.17&nbspseconds" eighth of eight, also the ; is needed for the nbsp.
  • "for 33rd place out of 50 athletes. She did not advance to semifinals.[" do you mean to quarterfinals? The table below makes it look like there are qfs for this race but I could be wrong.
    • According to the reference[1], there was no quarterfinals round; it went straight from qualification to semifinals. --Starstriker7(Talk) 16:32, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "ranking 5th in a heat" fifth
  • "Overall, Lewis ranked 15th out of 37 competitors in the qualification round. Randy Lewis did not proceed to the finals round" these two sentences could easily be combined, which would improve flow.
  • Is it qualification round or qualifications round? Both are used, and it should be consistent.

I'll put the article on hold for five days and pass when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 15:34, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Everything looks good now, so I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 18:15, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
