Standalone article?[edit]

Does this concept really need its own article? There doesn't seem to be much to the article and it has barely expanded in the last three years. It seems like the subject might be better served if merged with behavioural finance or a related article. That's my outsider view, anyhow. --GentlemanGhost 21:27, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This stub describes jargon used in describing investor behaviour, but outside this context it is just an unecessary pairing of words; the author could have just as I have already proposed speedy deletion on grounds that it has no content other than external links. I will now propose WP:AFD on grounds of no context. --Gavin Collins 09:09, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This phrase is a classic among traders, and in now used also by academics, so on what basis do you call it "an unecessary pairing of words"? As for behavioral finance (and its twin, behavioral economics), it is a broader subject, that include many investor biases and market anomalies. --Pgreenfinch 11:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Greed and fear for outcome, which was to keep the article.--Gavin Collins 14:30, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
