Common use of terms 'Grant Management Software' and 'Grants Management Software'[edit]

Whilst Grants management software is probably the correct name for software used by grant-makers to manage the process of granting from application through approval to disbursement of funds, the singular Grant management software is also used to describe this software. If one does a google search for either, the vast majority of hits are for software for grant-makers, as opposed to recipients. We could create a separate entry for Grants management software, or we could include both in this entry. Donor management software appears to be the more common term used for the software described in this article.

Idealware a nonprofit that helps nonprofits make software decisions has published a report evaluating more than 20 Grants management software applications. See A Consumers Guide to Grants Management Software
