Complaint[edit]

If the "complaining" user wants to edit, they can request an unblock on their main account first. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:31, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Prince Jinan’s page needs to be updated. Information on this page is not accurate. Please, unlock this article so that people can contribute more to this page.
  • To User Oda Mari:

What do you know about him? You don’t really understand Korean history. There are more information on Korean Prince Jinan page than on English Prince Jinan page, and most of the information that you are editing is inaccurate. Please, tell us what you know about him. Plus, his title is not Grand, but it is Great. You should check the facts against your imaginations. Check the information from the website of official web page of Jenoju Lee Royal Family Association at http://kms246.bizwon.co.kr/bin/minihome/index.html?seq=7254. If you do not have a negative feeling about Prince Jinan, then I do not think you would be destroying his page as you are doing right now. Wikipedia should not be a ground for biases. Yet, you are expressing your bias that he did not play an important role in Korean history. What do you know about Korean history? Do you know the Strife of Princes? Do you know the root causes? Do you understand what happened to Prince Jinan’s family member because they were so important in Korean history? You know nothing about the subject. Why are you editing Prince Jinan’s page?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.166.90.97 (talk) 17:47, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide reliable sources to verify the points you would like to add. Note that that website is very much not a reliable source. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:13, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • To User Qwyrxian:

Why is it unreliable? 전주이씨 대동종약원 is a notable official organization that provides official information on Jeonju Lee family clans. That organization is recognized and supported by Korean government. Here is there Korean version of the website: http://www.rfo.co.kr/. The problem is you are ignorant about Korean culture and history. How much do you know about Jeonju Lee clan? How much do you know about Prince Jinan? Why are you editing his page?!

The organization is much more reliable than you. You are destroying Prince Jinan’s page. Get out of Prince Jinan’s page. You are not qualified to just delete out a chunk of information on him just because you don’t think it is true. Who are you? Why are you destroying Prince Jinan’s page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.132.127.76 (talk) 07:58, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's not reliable because it does not meet WP:RS. For example, the websites of US political parties would be a reliable source of information about the party itself (although only for basic information), but would not be reliable sources for US politics, US history, or, really, anything else. The simple fact is that while I don't know much about Korean history, I do know a lot about Wikipedia rules, and, here, that's actually what's more important. I recommend that you read WP:NPOV, WP:RS, and WP:V as a good starting point. I also recommend that you read WP:COI, since you clearly have a conflict of interest, and thus need to be extra careful when trying to edit these pages.
Finally, please note that I didn't delete anything from the page except for spam to the site that you're trying to promote. Other editors have removed information; presumably, this is because it was not verified. As soon as you're willing to start working within our rules, by providing reliable sources to support your recommendations, then I'll be glad to help you edit the page. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:11, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You did erase the family member information on English Prince Jinan page, which is on Korean Wikipedia page. Please, restore the information. 전주이씨 대동종약원 is not a political party. Clearly, you do not know what you are talking about. Leave the edition of this page to more knowledgeable people about this topic. Clearly, this page needs to be unprotected so that more people can start to participate in editing the page to make it more accurate and informative.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.132.127.76 (talkcontribs)

I removed the family information for 3 reasons: first, I was reverting your whole edit, which contained the same spam you attempted to add under more than a dozen different usernames. Second, you were evading your block. Technically, I should reblock this account, too, as you are supposed to go back to your original account and request an unblock there; I've chosen not to do so because I'm hoping that if I try to talk to you here, you'll start to understand something about Wikipedia's rules. Third, the family information is WP:UNDUE. It would be ridiculous for us to include the family tree of every royal person on their pages. Sometimes we do make templates that help organize that information, but I don't know if we need one here or not. If some knowledgeable editors with skill in making templates think one should be made, fine, but you're clearly too biased to be the one doing it. As for unlocking this page, there is absolutely no chance of that, given the extreme actions you've taken to try to spam your website across Wikipedia articles and use this page. In fact, anyone who is a registered editor with more than 10 edits and 4 days of experience is welcome to edit the page. If you want to be such an editor, return to your original account, request an unblock by promising to not use multiple accounts anymore, not spam your website, and edit neutrally. Maybe another admin will unblock you...but only after you learn why what you did was wrong and agree not to do it again. Qwyrxian (talk) 10:58, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do agree with your point that I was too excessively putting my website into too many articles. I have understood that this is not necessary. However, I will add my website into the Prince Jinan page as it is an appropriate content for Prince Jinan’s Wikipedia page. You clearly have no idea about who is the Prince Jinan. I don’t know why you are keeping making nonsense argument that his family members should not be included in the English Wikipedia page. I have not added the Prince Jinan’s family information in Korean Prince Jinan page. So, I am not so sure why you are preventing me from adding this same information in the English Prince Jinan’s page. I will never go back to my other accounts since I have many other options to just dodge your blocks. It is not me, but it is you and users like you who are ruining Wikipedia. As for the Prince Jinan’s page on Wikipedia, you are not qualified as a person or as an user of Wikipedia to keep thwarting the Prince Jinan’s page development. Please, get lost. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.199.171.88 (talk) 12:35, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't tell other editors to get lost. If you don't stop the insulting behavior, I will start blocking each IP address you use, and, if necessary, semi-protect this page as well. You can dodge the blocks all you like, but we can just keep protecting pages if necessary. Wikipedia requires that users be civil and edit collaboratively with others. As for your website, you can't add it to this page, or any other, as it's now on the spam blacklist--if you attempt to add it, the MediaWiki software that runs Wikipedia will automatically reject your edit. The only way that site could possibly be used anywhere on Wikipedia is if the group itself had a Wikipedia article (and they're probably not notable enough for one), and then only on that page (and you'd have to specifically request for whitelisting on that onearticle). Finally, no one is ruining Wikipedia. I'm sorry if you don't like our rules, but you do have to follow them if you want to edit here. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:15, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your explanantion of the deletion of his family members are the most ridiculuous one. Do you know the Prince of Strife? If you did, then you would understand why some people might have put his family members in the Wikipedia page. I do not even think you know how important their family member is in Korean Royalship, and of course probably don’t even know about what happened to his family members. So, please, get lost as you are just disturbing the peace in Prince Jinan’s page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.107.100.223 (talk) 13:29, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

Requested editor has socked with dozens of IPs and more than a dozen accounts. If the editor wants to request changes, they'll need to be unblocked first. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:30, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please, change Grand to Great. This term is used by the 전주이씨 대동종약원.
  • Please, add Prince Jinan’s family information.
  • Please, link Prince Jinan’s names with that of Korean and Chinese versions.
I'll make the Grand to Great change, trusting your reading of the Korean terminology. I won't change the family information for reasons already explained. For the Korean and Chinese versions, I'll need you to give me the spelling in Korean and Chinese, then I can add them. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:09, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the Korean and Chinese pages are already linked--just look at the bottom of the menu on the left. That's where all inter-wiki links go. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:20, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please, link the info box names of Prince Jinan for Chinese and Korean pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.107.100.223 (talk) 13:31, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We don't do that. Interwiki links only go in the sidebar on the left. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:33, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please, change

Infobox Korean name

title=Korean Royal Title hangul= 진안대군 hanja= 鎭安大君

To

hangul= 진안대군 hanja= 鎭安大君
I don't know how to say no again. We don't do that. Interwiki links go on the left sidebar. They are not used in the body of the article. This is just the way en.wiki has chosen to format it's articles. Qwyrxian (talk) 13:57, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am not going to apply for the removal of my website from the blacklist as it is unnecessary. Please, add following to Prince Jinan's page: <REDACTED>
  • Please, change every single Grand to Great on Prince Jinan's page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.107.85.160 (talk) 14:06, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please, create Great Prince Royal Jinan wiki page and redirect Prince Jinan's wiki page to Great Prince Royal Jinan wiki page. Also, please create Great Prince Jinan wiki page and redirect this page to Great Prince Royal Jinan wiki page as well.
I've redacted your spamming, again. As for the redirects, forget it. I've tried to help you, help explain policy, etc., despite the fact that per our rules I'm supposed to block you. Your jumping IPs on every single edit, refusal to listen to what has already been explained to you, etc. mean that I have no inclination to create pages for you. Pick one of your previous accounts and request an unblock. If you edit here again as an IP or as a new account, I will request that this page be semi-protected. It's rare for us to protect both a page and its talk page, but your socking really gives us no choice. If you want to play by your own rules, go ahead and do so, on your own site. If you want to edit Wikipedia, follow our rules. Qwyrxian (talk) 14:15, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • www.koreanroyal.org is not a spam website. It is an official website for Korean Royal Armed Forces Korea Reunification Party, which has a direct relations to Prince Jinan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.107.85.160 (talk) 14:23, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
