Hey Lightbluerain. I've been following your draft since your post about wanting to submit this article for notability main space. Looking at your recent edits, they are a step in the right direction; but much is still needed to be done - not just in extracting the correct quotes and content from your sources, but the overall grammatical structure of the article itself. I would be willing to aid you in this process, if you don't mind the help. I wouldn't touch your draft here; but with your consent - will copy and paste it to my sandbox and work on it there. You can watch the page as I make my edits. Just offering some help. Maineartists (talk) 22:26, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Maineartists: that is a generous offer. This draft page can be edited by anyone though, you do not need to ask. Splitting the history also necessitates a history merge later on.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 22:51, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Maineartists: Yes! Sure, why not? I'll also learn many new things to take care of on the next articles. Thanks a lot. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 06:01, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great. Before I begin, it would really help the process if we all knew the exact quotes from the publication sources you cite to back your claims. The precise wording is necessary to diffuse any editors who may wish to refute claims made within the article. Even if it's just a single line. Thanks. Maineartists, Ok. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 06:25, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Strike the above request. I found plenty of additional sources online. Thanks. Maineartists (talk) 09:42, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Maineartists:, Great. It now looks like an A-class article to me. I shall also try to make such article next time. I edit articles more than writing them myself. Now, I shall also focus on creating good articles. Thanks again for your offer. I really learned a lot from your edits. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 02:44, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Lightbluerain Glad I could help out! I think we've got a very good chance of passing this one through now. In fact, I would have simply moved this to a main space article without review if I had created it myself. But let's see what the reviewer says. I will be very surprised if it is not accepted. Good luck in the future! Maineartists (talk) 12:43, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits[edit]

As you can see, I've tried to tighten everything up and make this a coherent WP article. I added a quote, changed the fact that Clayton did not lose her father in the mining accident (as correct sources now cite), added family history (which adds to WP subject articles), and added the recognition by the city and state. There are more things to add, but this is at least a start; which I believe might allow this to be accepted as a stub of low-importance for general notability. @Maineartists: Great. How about splitting the single "personal life and father's day service" section into two different sections? Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 06:24, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Approved?[edit]

Has this not yet been reviewed? I had forgotten about it; and was surprised to come back and see it was still a draft! What's the hold-up? Maineartists (talk) 11:44, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maineartists, I've read that it can take upto 6 months for a draft to be reviewed. Perhaps that is the reason it is still in draft. I too forgot about it. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 10:22, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maineartists, approved. :) Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 18:09, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Clarity over reference to an interview[edit]

There is reference to an interview Ms Clayton gave to The Fairmont Times on the 23rd of September, 1979. Given she died in 1958, would it be possible to clarify if this interview was given earlier, and published in 1979, or if this date for the interview is incorrect? Because at the moment it is more than a little confusing. GabrielBell12fi (talk) 00:30, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
