Needed articles.

We should have an article on every pyramid and every nome in Ancient Egypt. I'm sure the rest of us can think of other articles we should have.

Cleanup.

To start with, most of the general history articles badly need attention. And I'm told that at least some of the dynasty articles need work. Any other candidates?

Standardize the Chronology.

A boring task, but the benefit of doing it is that you can set the dates !(e.g., why say Khufu lived 2589-2566? As long as you keep the length of his reign correct, or cite a respected source, you can date it 2590-2567 or 2585-2563)

Stub sorting

Anyone? I consider this probably the most unimportant of tasks on Wikipedia, but if you believe it needs to be done . . .

Data sorting.

This is a project I'd like to take on some day, & could be applied to more of Wikipedia than just Ancient Egypt. Take one of the standard authorities of history or culture -- Herotodus, the Elder Pliny, the writings of Breasted or Kenneth Kitchen, & see if you can't smoothly merge quotations or information into relevant articles. Probably a good exercise for someone who owns one of those impressive texts, yet can't get access to a research library.

Pharaohship, power, symbols/gold[edit]

Since pharaohs lived with power, symbolism, and beauty (of the country-side, or gold), I'm going to give the rating of importance MID. ...Not even referring to the Horus-of-Gold name...

But another story can be told: the British Museum had an exhibit in south LA County, (Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, "Egyptian Treasures of the British Museum", c. 2000), California, and I was struck by a necklace from the Naqada burial phase (I think it said about 3600 BC or so (Not before 4000)(the book says c. 3200. A simple cloth necklace with gold beads. The circular beads were flat with no spaces between on the necklace-(I see they are irregular in size-(diameter)-(but re-examining, clearly ~circular, but variable in thicknesses)), and the explanation in the exhibit was this: a medium-thin sheet of gold had pieces snipped off (All the same thickness, approx.), and the piece was turned into a circle to form a bead with a hole. One could not see any seams; maybe they were infilled with hot gold. (This necklace rivals some of the King Tut masterpieces, though it is simple. (It reminds of a pre-European Black Jet(rock) necklace, in its exquisiteness.))

The necklace has 4-strands of gold in 4 sections, 2.5 to 3.5 inches long. Lapis lazuli beads and a deep-red glass beads sectioned connected the other 4-stranded sections (3 stone sections between the 4, then 2-long sections of stones/red-glass back to the clasp.
