Hi Sydney, great start on this article. I made a few grammar/word choice fixes, and italicized the family name wherever I found it. A lot of my edits were dedicated to changing past tense to present tense throughout the article, since this is the way Wikipedia articles are generally written and writing it in the past tense makes it sound like you are referring to a specific instance, when an article should be very general. Additionally, I think you should remove some of the information about the family and genus and add more about this fly, since the article is supposed to be about G. flavifrons and not its family or the Glyphidops genus. You might want to include some information about diet, behavior, predators, interactions with humans, ongoing research into this fly, etc. Hope this helps! Hi Sydney! Really nice start on the entry for this fly. I did some overall proofreading and fixed a few grammar/phrasing things, and linked several more words to existing Wikipedia pages. I also moved the Speciesbox that has the fly's picture up to the top of the article (it was towards the bottom before). To improve the article, I think adding sections on the fly's diet and ecology would make it more comprehensive. RappaiT (talk) 21:28, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This article is a good introduction to this fly. I added information about the behavior to Intro section. Adding information on the predators and interactions with humans could be great way to enhance this page. hvmoolani (talk · contribs)

Hi, this was a comprehensive introduction to the fly! I only made a few minor edits in terms of grammar issues and making sentences a bit more clear. I also changed the headers and organization to fit the order that was determined on the wikipedia diptera project so that all flies fit the same structure. I think it would be a great idea to expand more on the habitat of the fly since it is very interesting their reliance on tree bark. Are there certain trees that the flies will distribute to more? I also think it would be a good idea to expand more on the adult stage of the life history since you go very in depth on the other stages. Perhaps how long they live in that stage or when they are ready to mate. Mvardy417 (talk) 00:15, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
