Fair use rationale for Image:Girl with a Pearl Earring soundtrack.jpg[edit]

Image:Girl with a Pearl Earring soundtrack.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Hey again, SnapSnap. I realized that I forgot my past interactions with you and should have asked you to change the title back. Instead, I had the title reverted back to "(soundtrack)" per request at WP:RM/TR. Still, I think a title change is something that should have been discussed first. Thoughts? George Ho (talk) 10:55, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@George Ho: I didn't realize this particular title change could be regarded as controversial, I mean, it is the album's full title as it appears on the cover art. I know there are soundtrack pages that go with the "(soundtrack)" format, but there many pages that use the soundtrack's full title as well. snapsnap (talk) 20:37, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Girl with a Pearl Earring (soundtrack)Girl with a Pearl Earring: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack – Full title as it appears on the cover art. snapsnap (talk) 21:08, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose this good faith nom, per brevity, etc. The full name appears over the infobox and in the bolded first mention (although to be precise the subtitle actually comes before the film's name on the cover styling). A good film, I'm going to have to watch it again sometime. Randy Kryn (talk) 00:07, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – we don't use subtitles if it is not the common name. CookieMonster755 02:28, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
