Untitled[edit]

There are parts of this article that are unfactual or meant for sattire, for example "one case an adult giant pangolin was seen in a burrow with a juvenile"

If that's meant to be satirical, or a joke, I don't get it. If you know it's incorrect, remove it. Incidentally, this page could REALLY do with an image. David 16:21, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The general Pangolin page lists the Giant Pangolin as endangered but the Giant Pangolin page lists them as not threatened at all. I'm not sure which is correct or how to fix this. could someone more knowledgeable of the Wiki software lend a paw?

Is this a giant pangolin? Srnec (talk) 05:22, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Main image[edit]

Can we get an image of a live one for the main image? There's got to be one out there that's not taxidermy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:543:C001:FE13:B904:6BD1:6C35:C316 (talk) 03:23, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies on range/distribution and habitat[edit]

The text says the main concentrations of the species are found in Uganda, Tanzania, and western Kenya, while the map shows the range extending to western Uganda, but not reaching the border with Kenya, and does not include any part of Tanzania. Further, the article on the other species in the sub-genus Smutsia, the Ground pangolin says that species is "the only one in southern and eastern Africa." Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya are all in eastern Africa. I wonder if the text statement, which has no citation, is actually a more generic statement about African pangolins or pangolins in the Smutsia sub-genus? Unfortunately I don't have time to try to sort this out. Hoping someone more expert may be able to edit. Chris Lowe (talk) 20:39, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
