Move to Ghanima Atreides[edit]

Dune (and most fictional character) naming conventions are first name/last name; Destination page name Ghanima Atreides is currently a redirect back to Ghanima. TAnthony 22:20, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-born or KH?[edit]

The article states that "access to the male line is unique to the pre-born." - but by my reading, it's due to being a descendant of the Kwisatz Hadderach. Paul himself wasn't pre-born, but had access to male ancestor memory. David 10:25, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agamemnon[edit]

In Children of Dune, Ghanima is quoted as saying "We Atreides go back to Agamemnon and we know what's in our blood. Never forget that, childless wife of my father. We Atreides have a bloody history and we're not through with the blood." House Atreides traces its line back to an Agamemnon in the Legends of Dune prequel series, and claims ancestry back to the Agamemnon of Greek mythology. Since Children of Dune was written decades before the Legends books, she's probably referring to the mythological Agamemnon. However, it might be worthwhile to mention the Legends Agamemnon as a side note to the quote, to clarify that both are ancestors, but she was referring mainly to the mythical Agamemnon.
