Work for UNESCO[edit]

Although the Feminist Voices reference states that

During the 1980s, Babladelis served as the United States Director of Research for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

her obituary from California State University (Cal State East Bay) says

A few years after the women's studies program began, she was named to serve as United States director of research for a cross-cultural study of sex-related stereotypes and personal characteristics sponsored by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).

Quite a difference: US director of research, or US director of research for a particular study. It seems likely that the CSU description is more accurate, as there are few mentions of her at unesco.org.
