Notes for potential expansion or rewrite[edit]

This thread on The Insect Collectors' Forum gives a different tone of George Samouelle's life than that of the current state of this Wikipedia article for him (and some of its sources). For instance, it is mentioned there that John Edward Gray was involved in his dismissal from the British Museum, and it was from Albert Everard Gunther (son of Robert Gunther and grandson of Albert Günther) that we get details of what he did at the museum to be sacked, and that he was in fact a professional entomologist for a short period. However, I can't be sure how reliable the thread is or not as a secondary source, but it does give sources within it. Monster Iestyn (talk) 18:49, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's also a portrait of him shown there (as well as on the Entomological Club's History page) that could be uploaded, but I don't know where it comes from on the other hand. Monster Iestyn (talk) 19:00, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
