This is my grandfather[edit]

After searching for history of my grandparent because my father did not want to tell me anything. 11 years of seaching this stuff about my family i found that one of my grandparents are very successful even though he worked at a Sunday school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.140.187.162 (talk) 19:02, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article merges two George Minors[edit]

I think there are two distinct George Minors described here, the one who was the Chief of Ordinance and Hydrography for the Confederate Navy in the Civil War and the composer. The birth date in 1845 gives it away. Sixteen would be pretty young indeed for the Chief of Ordinance of a navy. I think the Chief of Ordinance is this guy: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/11717976/george-minor. I think the composer is this guy: https://hymnary.org/person/Minor_GA. In other words, the dates of birth and death are correct in the article for the composer. Jsandoe (talk) 21:35, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
