I think there were at least rumours in the media about the Courtnalls being interested in buying the Canucks before the Aquilini deal. Also, he had a restaurant chain (or was it just one?). And wasn't there something about him and his bro's starting a resort somewhere up the coast some years ago? The Courtnalls are investing in a logging thing, and I do believe the resort is part of it. I don't want to write anything yet, because this is all just local talk, and I haven't looked up any sources to prove it, though I'm certain I could if I tried at all.
