Untitled[edit]

Just a historian's note here, but all GM locomotives built prior to 1941 were built by the Electro-Motive Corporation (EMC). The Electro-Motive Division (EMD) was formed on January 1, 1941 with the merger of the Winton Engine Company with EMC.

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:General Pershing Zephyr/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Needs to be split into sections, perhaps following the model at Pioneer Zephyr (a concise lead section followed by sections for construction, revenue service and preservation). A few more references would be nice and it needs inline citations to follow the recently upgraded GA standards (criterion 2b). Slambo (Speak) 15:18, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
