Publication data and contents[edit]

I found a bunch of conflicting publication data and contents data for this book. The Chalker/Owings reference and both the Clute references list the FPCI publication as 1972. Worldcat agrees with this. The Contento reference lists it as 1973, paperback and with a different contents than Chalker. Chalker also notes that the DAW edition was first, but does not give the date (Jaffery lists DAW as March 1973, and doesn't cover the FPCI edition). ISFDB, which I didn't cite, also lists FPCI and as 1973 and with the same contents as Contento but it is unverified. I am going with the 1972 date for FPCI as being correct (it matches more sources) with the Chalker contents (the alternate spelling of "Garin" in the story title is mentioned in Chalker's description). I suspect that the Contento reference has the data for the DAW edition and perhaps the story listed as "The People of the Crater" is an alternate title for "Garin of Tav" and may have appeared that way in the DAW edition. I have neither edition myself, and can't check my suspicions against a primary source.--Rtrace (talk) 18:08, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've verified, and added another reference that both "Garin of Tav", and "The People of the Crater" are the same story.--Rtrace (talk) 19:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
