Untitled[edit]

This articles look to have been posted as an automatic translation by some IP little intelligent user. I wikified the first part, and removed a bunc of final stuff of little interest. Please help for the rest, this matter is boring and I want to do other most interesting tasks. Bye. --Attilios 21:14, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagreement[edit]

I would like to draw community’s attention to the situation with Gaetano Bedini article. User:Attilios held hostage this article and RB all new edit. This are diff [1] [2]. He say my edit are "unrelevant" :°( - He removed 2 photo too. Photo are unrelevant? --87.1.223.176 15:38, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's not taking it in hostage. If you added thing related to his life, it'd be good. I put out the Cathedral of Viterbo photo just 'cause there was no room for it. Do you think that the endless series of successors of Bedini can have a place in his article? Isn't it more relevant to Archbishop of... etc. articles? Why don't you concentrate on the childish English used in the rest of the article? --Attilios 18:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I came here based on the thread started at WP:AN/I. first, Attilios, insulting an editor who seems to be acting in good faith with mockery of his grasp of what's probably a foriegn language is a gross violation of WP:CIVIL. Second, Although I agree that the long lsit is irrelevant, it seems that he's added a large amount of reasonable information which you could be workign on better integratign to the article, instead of merely removing. I ask you now to reconsider your attitude towards the page, because as I read the history, you're developing OWNership issues. Thank you. ThuranX 23:22, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like you've been made aware, based on your reply at my user talk. However, comparisons of article sizes aren't good barometers, since sometimes a less important person happens to have more available sources for attribution, allowing for a bigger article. Example, a guy might be notable for a 20 year career as a spokesman, and for his career as an elected official. Because his body of work before holding office was so public, it might be easy to fill out his page with earlier info. ThuranX 23:33, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing tone, etc.[edit]

I looked over the article in terms of tone, editing, etc. and tried to clear it up, but the following sections I deleted because they were completely unintelligible. Maybe someone who knows Italian can come and decipher them and then put them back into the article. Here are the sections:

"In fact, in all the stages of the travel of Bedini in the Italian United States, but, some patriots and in particular the former clergyman Alessandro Gavazzi, than it reproached death of Ugo Bassi organized one clamorous persecution with manifestations of public square against the preside. Captured manifesting, after the famous crashes of Cincinnati, they came expelled for most direct and the Cardinal Bedini could continue his visit.

Cardinal of Viterbo[edit]

On March 1861, he was named Bishop of Viterbo and Tuscanella (today's Tuscania). He entered in city 8 May 1861 from met Roman Door from the Community and the Clergy, and it oed in cathedral through the illuminated ways. Zealous it opened endured the S. pastoral Visit oing in several the countries of the diocese and taking care a lot of the devout places, the monasteri and especially of the Seminary, where deep plentiful sums much to leave not light debits its dead women; in it improves the instruction (calling from Bagnoregio the clearest one prot. Death[edit]

He died in the morning of the 6 september 1864 at 59 years old, probably for an apopletic stroke. The pain of the city of Viterbo to the unexpected news was immense. They were quite it sends back events very important for the city as the tombola of Rosa Saint and the fireworks them, and was closed the theatre in sign of mourning, although in city there was very many people. He was buried in the Cathedral of the city, in a beautiful monument in marble, near Saint and bishop his predecessor."
