If the GRB derived from a hyper-velocity star, ejected from its host galaxy, then perhaps its large peculiar velocity would result in a misestimation of its true distance from earth ? 66.235.38.214 (talk) 08:23, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The young, massive stars that create GRB don't live very long, so it wouldn't have traveled far from its birthplace. Praemonitus (talk) 14:13, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
