Merged Content from Future Directed Therapy[edit]

I performed a merge from source article "Future Directed Therapy" to destination article "Future oriented therapy". As per Wikipedia guidelines "future oriented therapy" was selected as the destination article because it is the more common name of the two (See WP:UCN#Common names). For example, in Google search results "future-oriented" returns about 449,000 results versus 114,000 for "future-directed"). Also there is a Wikipedia page for "future-oriented" but not "future-directed". Finally, the term "future oriented therapy" has a longer history in the research literature.

I have changed "Future Directed Therapy" into a redirect.—Adaptions (talk) 20:49, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merged Content from Future Directed Therapy REMOVED[edit]

Merged content from Future Directed Therapy page was removed. The content that merged was copyright protected and it was merged in a way that constitutes plagiarism. Future Directed Therapy is a form of therapy with it's own unique theoretical model and set of specific skills and interventions. Implying that Future Directed Therapy and Future oriented psychotherapy are the same model is entirely false and misleading to the public. No part of Dr. Melges therapy was used in the construction of Future Directed Therapy and any similarities are purely coincidental. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LFFDT (talkcontribs) 10:19, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
