Finance or Economics[edit]

This seems to be a concept that falls under finance much more than economics, should we link it to the wikifinance project? Economists tend to use world bank and IMF definitions referring to [developing countries] etc.

With more of a finance flavour to it should the language reflect that a little more? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shazma85 (talkcontribs) 00:41, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Estonia, Lithuania and Slovenia?[edit]

Why exactly are they there among some African and Middle Eastern economies. And if they are, why aren't there Latvia or Slovakia? And what makes them so different from some emerging markets like the Czech Republic, Poland or HungarY?H2ppyme (talk) 13:13, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of Countries in the S&P Index[edit]

Can somebody please elaborate why there are more countries in the table than those listed in the report? According to the press release by the S&P only the following countries are OFFICIALLY part of the index:

Bulgaria, Cambodia, Colombia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Panama, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qbadge (talkcontribs) 18:22, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The countries in the index are selected based on investability. Not all frontier markets have a stock exchange or sufficient liquidity for inclusion in an 'investible' index. (195.110.37.203 (talk) 16:05, 2 June 2011 (UTC) Silk Invest).[reply]
