Works and Literature[edit]

I just added a number of titles, both of his works and secondary literature. The former from a major scholarly German Literatur-Lexikon (Killy), the latter after a search through National Catalogues of Germany, Britain and the USA. I know that there are many more works, the qualities of which I neither know nor feel able to judge, and many - often older - English translations. Being no expert on F. G. I also by no means have any "overview" of G. scholarship and journal articles etc. I hope the titles provided will nevertheless help and some experts may expand on these sections some day. Gerstenberg seems to have been really popular in the German language area and also hugely influential e.g. in shaping public images about real life in contemporary North America, including disillusioning would-be-emigrants (so says the well-written Lexicon article). So he seems to be a very good source for various sorts of journalists' research and scholarly study, hence efforts to improve the article seem not to be worthless...
