Date of dead[edit]

Yesterday I corrected the date of death on the german wiki page of Frieda. The date of April 26, 1995 was also given there. This date is wrong. The correct date is March 5th, 1995. As can be seen from this article, which was published on March 7th, 1995: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1995-03-07-me-39790-story.html --Zartesbitter (talk) 22:47, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Enlarging the article[edit]

Hi Folks! This article lacks relevant information on the artistic accomplishments and cultural impact of the subject, who was my first piano teacher and a long-time personal friend. I have done some research for sources and will be adding information over the next few weeks. Please bear with my mistakes, as I've never edited a page in Wikipedia before. Unsupported claim[edit]

I removed the sentence "Belinfante's Orange County Philharmonic Orchestra was only the second orchestra ensemble in the world to be managed or conducted by a woman on a continuing basis." for lack of reliable sourcing. It seems to be an unsupported, and an unlikely claim, given this article in the journal College Music Symposium: Jagow, Shelly M. (1 October 1998). "Women Orchestral Conductors in America: The Struggle for Acceptance—An Historical View from the Nineteenth Century to the Present". College Music Symposium. 38.. The journal article does not mention Belinfante but notes several orchestras founded, directed and conducted by women which predate the OCPO.
