The Robocall scandal has nothing to do with Frank Valeriote's fine for misusing auto dialers. The robocall scandal has to do with voter suppression. Controversy section[edit]

I've just edited the "controversy" section of the article, which previously gave a misleading impression.

As it read before, it mentioned Valeriote's promotional robocalls followed by a discussion of the attempted voter-suppression robocalls - part of the 2011 Canadian federal election voter suppression scandal - and it was worded in such a way that it was likely to give a casual reader, who was unfamiliar with the history of that event, the impression that the Valeriote campaign was likely responsible for the deceptive robocalls.

In fact, those calls were actually targeted at voters identified as not likely Conservative voters, and the evidence discovered linked the fraudulent calls to people in the Burke campaign (Valeriote's opponent).
