POB[edit]

The lead says he was born in DC, the infobox in Philly. Which is correct? RlevseTalk 21:11, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

– I am dubious about there being a primary topic for this name, given the number of people sharing it. Current occupant of this title gets around 2/3 of the page views, which is not overwhelming. bd2412 T 00:03, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Personally I think 2/3 of everything is actually pretty impressive and I might support a declaration of primary topic on that basis when combined with other factors, such as long-term significance (this applies more for articles on common nouns). But my general policy for multiple relatively obscure people sharing the same name is when in doubt, disambiguate. -- King of ♠ 08:12, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support more because "Frank Coleman was" test produces no one. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:26, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination, King of Hearts and In ictu oculi. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 20:29, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination, King of Hearts, and In ictu oculi. No clear primary topic. Paintspot Infez (talk) 18:05, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A different Frank Coleman[edit]

I think Frank Coleman (counselor) (1912 – 2008) has been mixed up with a different Frank Coleman (1890 – 1967) over the history of this article. Both were prominent African American educators which may have contributed to the confusion. Looks like Frank Coleman (counselor) lived and worked in Philadelphia while the other — call him Frank Coleman (professor), maybe? — lived and worked in D.C. This person was in the Omega Psi Phi fraternity but didn't found it. I'm going to remove the reference to founding Omega Psi Phi from this article since that was Frank Coleman (professor). I'll fix his education, currently linking to Howard University, too. Enby (talk) 21:41, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
