Italian references[edit]

Sorry the sources are almost all Italian. There is precious little about Ambrosio in English - and some English articles are unfortunately just plain wrong. Any reliable English language refs are very welcome.

Shadow DN8[edit]

The Shadow DN8 in the photo is that raced in historic series by Jason Wright in recent years. Please note that the year 1977 is deliberate, not 1978. This car is chassis number 6A ,the last to be built. It was made n 1977 and was only raced by Shadow in 1977. Although the DN8 model (other chassis numbers) competed in the first 4 races of 1978, it was in Tabatip livery as Ambrosio had gone to Arrows, and had Stuck and Regazzoni at the wheel, not Patrese (also at Arrows in 1978). In the photo filename and in the entry list for historic races you may see Jason's car listed as 1978, but it's because the DN8 model was last actively raced then. This chassis was raced by Patrese at the 1977 Canadian Grand Prix (with race number 16) where it was unfortunately severely damaged 4 laps from the end when Riccardo spun off on oil dropped by Andretti's blown engine. OK, more info than you need... Regards Guffydrawers (talk) 11:25, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Content dispute[edit]

There seems to be an ongoing content dispute at this page. A discussion has been started at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Formula One#Franco Ambrosio regarding one aspect of this dispute. As some of the parties involved seem to be new users I would recommend that they familiarise themselves with the English Wikipedia's various policies and guidelines.
