Assessment[edit]

Well, it's certainly passed stub class, but it could use a bit more expansion and the like to reach B class. It's on the right track though. Wizardman 02:31, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

The term "practicing/practising" has been replaced with "studying" in accordance with the four guidelines of the Wikipedia:Manual of Style.

  • Consistency within articles
    • The article largely avoids national varieties of English, which accords with the fourth Manual of Style guideline (Opportunities for commonality). "Theatre" is used in the introductory sentence (less widely used in U.S. English according to the English spelling comparison chart) but would not impose a consistency requirement by itself.
  • Strong national ties to a topic
    • The article probably does not have strong national ties, but if a national variety of English must be used (e.g. "theatre") it should logically be Canadian English. Francesca Gagnon is Canadian, and 'Canada', 'Quebec' and 'Montreal' are mentioned in the article a number of times.
  • Retaining the existing variety
    • Again, the article largely avoids national varieties of English with the exception of "theatre". This guideline should be subordinate to the fourth guideline.
  • Opportunities for commonality
    • Wikipedia tries to find words that are common to all varieties of English. "Studying" is a suitable replacement for "practicing/practising" in this context and is common to all varieties of English.
The article should continue to use words that are common to all varieties of English, in good faith with the guidelines above. Please discuss any spelling-related issues on this talk page, referring to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. (220.240.135.42 10:16, 29 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]
