Photo[edit]

According to this site, the photo shows Joe with Sonny Boy Rogers, not Polka Dot Slim. Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:09, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure? I have a compilation album with the same picture. It's called Downhome Delta Harmonica - Forrest City Joe and Polka Dot Slim

I wouldn't know, but even though your album is listed on StefanWirz's discography page here, his photo caption says it's Rogers. Maybe Stefan can answer the question - I regard him as a reliable source on these matters. Ghmyrtle (talk) 17:11, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, it also says on the track listing that the material is also by Slim. I don't mean to say your wrong, it's probably just a misunderstanding. TheGracefulSlick ( talk) March 28, 2015 13:10

If you look close at the track list of "Downhome Delta Harmonica - Forrest City Joe and Polka Dot Slim" you'll see that the first 17 tracks are played by Forrest City Joe, the last 8 tracks are by Polka Dot Slim - such sometimes is the nature of a compilation --- both never ever played together and just as little were photographed together - it's as simple as that: No "misunderstanding" at all, just taking the title of the CD plus the front cover photo too seriously! Maybe I should add that Polka Dot Slim (who has an own article on the German Wikipedia: [1]) was (like Forrest City Joe) a singer/harmonicist, while Sonny Boy 'Cat Daddy' Rogers was a singer/guitarist, see also this site StefanWirz (talk) 08:05, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
